The Archdiocese of Newark requires that all adults, staff, and volunteers involved with  Our Lady of Mercy Parish children under 18 must comply with the following requirements of the Protecting God’s Children Program prior to being able to volunteer. Below are the links for requirements that must be completed:

1 - Volunteer Application Form
      Print, fill out and return to our office.

2 - Archdiocese of Newark Policies on Professional and Ministerial Conduct
        Read, sign page 23 and return          to our office.

3 - Sign up for a Protecting God's Children Session
      Select Newark Archdiocese and                then choose a session. Certification
        is valid for 5 years.

4 - Background Check
      A background check will be                       required. This is a criminal                         background check, NOT a credit               check. Once you have filled out                 and  submitted the Volunteer                     Application Form, you have 
         authorized the rectory office to run           your background check.
